Who is eligible?
People insured with SGK, pensioners and their dependants can benefit from the SGK contribution when a doctor’s report documents their hearing loss. Amounts and conditions are set by the Health Implementation Communiqué (SUT) and updated from time to time.
How does it work?
- Hearing test: we do a free initial assessment at our centre to understand your needs.
- ENT examination and report: an ENT specialist at a state or private hospital issues a hearing aid report based on your audiometry.
- Prescription: a hearing aid prescription (e-prescription) is issued based on the report.
- Choosing and fitting: bring your report and prescription to us; we help you choose, fit the device and handle the SGK paperwork for you.
- Invoice and handover: you pay any difference after the SGK contribution is deducted.
Documents you’ll need
- Turkish ID card
- ENT specialist report (with audiometry)
- Hearing aid prescription
- Parent’s ID for children
How often can it be renewed?
The contribution can be claimed again after a set period. For adults this is usually 5 years; different rules may apply for children and special cases. We can check your last claim date with you.
Why is there a difference to pay?
The SGK contribution is capped. Depending on the technology you choose, the amount above the contribution is paid as a difference. We go through options that fit your budget transparently.
